OGUNQUIT — Rochelle Simpson, 58, of Young’s Crossing, formerly of Worcester, Mass., died the morning of March 12, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with cancer in her home, lovingly surrounded by her family.
She was born in Worcester, Mass., on April 8, 1947, a daughter of Abraham and Sylvia (Lowe) Rutman. She attended local schools and graduated from Classical High School in Worcester. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at American International College in Springfield, Mass.
She most recently was a claim representative with Leland Insurance Agency in Northboro, Mass. Previously she was employed at Hanover Insurance in Worcester in the same capacity.
She enjoyed skiing and traveling. She loved her family and was a very devoted grandmother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Don Simpson; two daughters, Lori Choquette and Sherri Taylor; parents Abraham and Sylvia Rutman; one brother, Alan Rutman; one sister, Pamela Breitman; and four grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Taylor and Hailey and Carly Choquette.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, Wells. A committal followed at Ocean View Cemetery, Wells, with Rabbi Burkowitz.
